Tigers option Bonine to Toledo
The Tigers decided to go a pitcher short in the bullpen for a little while to make room for Aubrey Huff. Detroit optioned Eddie Bonine to Triple-A Toledo. We'll see how they cope.

No problem with Bonine being sent down, but this has to be quick fix for the Toledo rotation, who just lost Lambert until he clears waivers and his contract can be reassigned to Toledo. The way that Leyland plays bullpen roulette, he’ll want seven guys in that pen, so I’d bet on either Raburn or Clete being sent down and a pitcher being recalled pretty soon.
