Magglio is back in the lineup against KC starter Gil Meche, whom he has hit for a .310 average (10-for-31) over his career.

  3. Cabrera, 1B
  4. Thames, DH

  6. Inge, 3B
  7. Ordonez, RF
  8. Laird, C
  9. Everett, SS

P: Armando Galarraga

  1. David DeJesus, LF
  2. Willie Bloomquist, SS
  3. Billy Butler, 1B
  4. Mark Teahen, 3B
  5. Jose Guillen, RF
  6. Mike Jacobs, DH

  9. Mitch Maier, CF

P: Gil Meche

Well Gil Meche gets to take advantage of JL not having LHB to stick in his lineup. Other than Granderson of course. JL has finally seen the light with Kelly and Anderson.
Shame that a Major League organization can’t claim to have a power hitting LHB or a regular southpaw in the roation. In fact you have to feel a little uncomfortable with the lack of proven southpaws in the pen too. Whatever happened to the balance?
Kelly will be gettting sent down I expect and Anderson will likely be traded IMO. Larish is hitting OK down in Toledo
(not much power though). But he plays the position on the team that is needed least. Thomas is likely coming back to replace Kelly. He is more of a sparkplug and more of a productive major leaguer than Kellly. I’d like to see him recalled.
I look at Raul Ibanez and wonder why we didn’t bite.
DD must have been worried he would turn out like Jacque Jones.
Speaking of Larish—wan’t he going to be given time as a corner outfielder? Well he got 0 games there for us earlier. And then to compund that strategy, he was given 0 games as an outfielder down on the farm after he was sent down.
I think the braintrust is operating out of a misguided delusion that Guillen is coming back in August and will save them with his bat and play a respectable LF. It ain’t gonna happen on both counts.
We need a Dunn, a Hawpe or even a “Melky way” out of this dilemma.

I put in about 60 votes for Brandon. Will do more later. Not sure I like this voting format. It’s like voting attrition….or tedium.
Looks like a good lineup. At least a chance for some production.
Dan, your Dylan song sounds good played in G, C, D, and Em. Are you always this poetic?

Well let’s see if Armando can have a 1-2-3 first inning for a change here. Be nice to not be down by 2 runs going into our half of an inning. Build on the last start G Man.

Not exactly 1-2-3 but I’ll take it. Good start

Yikes Curtis got schooled on that at bat.

Make him pay Miggy.
