Bonderman feels fine after camp game

Jeremy Bonderman said he felt good after throwing 30 pitches in the Tigers camp game Saturday morning, putting him on track to return to regular game action next Thursday against the Braves and on schedule to be ready for Opening Day.

“Felt good,” Bonderman said. “No pain. Threw all my pitches.”

Bonderman faced six hitters from the Tigers’ Minor League camp during the outing. He gave up a couple doubles and had a pair of strikeouts. But the important part for him was how he felt as he threw his pitches, and how his previously sore shoulder will feel on Sunday.

“I don’t want to get carried away,” manager Jim Leyland said. “I was tickled to death today, but I want to be tickled to death tomorrow.”

Based on how Bonderman felt, he believes he’ll feel good.

“I’m going to be sore,” he predicted, “but it’s just going to be normal soreness.”

Listening to the game in Lakeland right now on WXYT while watching Cabrera/Ordonez and Guillen play in the WBC on TV on the MLB network. Just another disaster inning for Dontrelle. What a disapointment. All I can say is I’m hoping and praying Bonderman feels okay tomorrow and all systems are go for his start on Thursday. I’m optimistic.

Good news so far regarding bondo, lets just see how he feels Monday. Dontrelle, Dontrelle, I want you to succeed so bad. He is just such a likable guy, but unfortunately he just cant seem to get it together.
