Bunting
This might be the first time I’ve seen it for a spring training game … the red, white and blue decoration, I mean, not dropping a ball down the line.

I am confused
Bunting is an American ornament with the flag. I’m guessing they’re down there in spring training and Jason is just having his fun by trying to confuse us all?
I had a team once that was so dumb, when I announced we were going to work on bunting, they all ran out and bought sewing needles.
Got to see some Tigers yesterday on MLB.TV. Spring has sprung. I think the radar gun was wrong. Miller was throwing bullets and it registered 88 mph. Can’t be right.
Re the previous post, love seeing Pudge lead off! That’s my pet project, so don’t forget it was my idea if it flies. (I figure there’s at least a 1% chance JL will bat him first for a substantial number of games this year.)
Rich……..yer killin’ me.
Steve………….I am not sure we’re gonna give ya “credit” for this idea……..I seem to recall it being brought up a LOT last year. But, I can be convinced.
Sheff hits a bomb, Miller thorws BB’s, and JL is getting his “wish”…………the hometown fans are nowhere near panic.
So far, pretty okay.
Out of all the prospective lineups here, and in the forum, I don’t recall anyone saying that Guillen should hit fourth between Sheff and Maggs. Leyland…………is stinking brilliant. Against righties, we go R-L-R. Against lefties, three straight right-handed hitters. Plus, no one is a better situational hitter on the team, than Guillen(maybe Polanco is close, I know). Also, two guys who get on base A LOT for Maggs. Brilliant……………just so stinking smart, I am ashamed I didn’t think of it……..lol.
If Miller continues his “easy-gas”, I don’t know who they’re gonna send the kid down. Make Maroth the second lefty in the ‘pen, and let Miller “learn” up here, using him with the same kid gloves we used with Justin. I know, Justin had over 100 innings in the minors before he was brought up………but some talents are just made to not be held back.
You know the Sox and the Indians and the Twins are hoping we send him down. As a fifth starter, he would be dynamic. And, as the fifth starter, he would get the rest he would need.
Bonderman, Verlander, and Miller………all under 25 years old. Wow.
